EAST GREENWICH FIRE DISTRICT

DIVE RESCUE TEAM

The East Greenwich Fire District, being a community that borders a large body of water saw a need to develop a dive rescue team.  Members are certified through PADI in advanced open water diving, nighttime, ice and rescue diving.  The team also conducts extensive training for underwater search and rescue off the shore and off Marine 1.  Due to conditions within the cove, the team also prepares for conducting operations under little to no visibility.
